St Vincent Receives a R60 000.00 donation from Autozone

St Vincent School has beenfortunate enough to receive an ABR/ASSR machine due to the fundraisingefforts of the Randburg Rotary Anns. St Vincent School is one of the handful of schools internationally to have such a machine and, indeed, theonly school in Africa to have one! ABR/ASSR machines are advanced hearingloss detection machines and babies as young as six weeks can be tested for hearing loss with an ABR/ASSR machine. The earlier hearing loss is detected, the earlier intervention can be actioned.

Our Volleyball team has a photo of their latest achievements.  We are truly proud of all the learners and the staff who have coached them with such dedication. Our senior boys' and senior girls' Volleyball teams U/17 both came first in the Gauteng Department of Education District D9 Johannesburg East. These photos were taken at an award ceremony held at Wendywood High School on Thursday 11th August.

Pictured in the boy's team is their coach, a past matriculant at our school, Mr Monwabisi Mabusela.

Pictured in the girls' team is the new Director for Gauteng Department of Education, District D9, Mr R Martin.

Winning at District level, meant these two teams went through to regional matches that were held on Saturday 13th August in Lenasia.

The boys' team won these and the team has gone through to provincial trials, and the girls' team came second.

In addition to this our girls' U/13volleyball team came third in their grouping, which is also a wonderful accomplishment and shows they will become a force to be reckoned with in the next season.
